Oakdale Cemetery Horticultural Walking Tour

October 17, 2026 (Saturday)

Given by Superintendent, Eric Kozen. Mr. Kozen will lead you on a horticultural journey through Oakdale and will delight you with many tales of the diverse plant life within the cemetery. Learn some local history and interesting facts from the Superintendent who knows every square inch of Oakdale. Tour is from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Cost of the tour is $10.00 per person(cash only) Tours are cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

The Wilmington Record Show returns to Waterline Brewing Company on Saturday, October 17!
Browse thousands of records and music-related finds from more than 20 vendors traveling from across the region for an afternoon celebrating all things vinyl.

STOWE will set the soundtrack with an all-vinyl DJ set for the first three hours, followed by a live performance from the Yard Doggs. Smash N Dash and Well Fed Ed will be serving food throughout the day, including vegan options, while Waterline pours locally brewed craft beer, cocktails, wine and more.
Whether you’re a longtime collector, hunting for a hidden gem or just love good music, come dig through the crates and spend the afternoon with fellow music lovers.

Step into the spotlight with acclaimed performer, director, and educator Diane Coupe Frankel. Whether you are new to the stage or looking to sharpen your performance skills, these engaging adult acting classes offer a welcoming environment to explore character development stage presence, improvisation, and performance technique. Students will benefit from Diane’s extensive professional background and supportive teaching style while gaining confidence, creativity, and stronger acting skills in a fun and collaborative atmosphere.

Poplar Grove Plantation, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has stood along the coastal highway north of Wilmington since the 1850s. Join Haunted Rooms America for a six-hour after-hours paranormal investigation of the Greek Revival manor house, home to six generations of the Foy family. Reported activity includes the footsteps of a Civil War soldier and the grieving spirit of a mother who lost four children. Guests work in small groups with professional ghost hunting equipment, then enjoy free roam time to investigate on their own. Ages 18 and over, or 16-17 with a responsible adult. Tickets are limited.
