Join us for the first Rock the River, a concert benefitting Cape Fear River Watch. Catch live sets from Tercel, Kicking Bird, GoldieLux, American Chestnut, Masonboro Sound, and Sea Graves! Plus, explore art and vintage finds from a selection of local vendors, and cold brews courtesy of our friends at Waterline Brewing. All proceeds support the Cape Fear River Watch's mission to protect and improve the water quality of the beautiful Cape Fear River at the background of this full-day celebration.

Live Music Sunday is calling!

Ease into your Sunday with an afternoon of great tunes, tasty food, and a refreshing pint at Flytrap! Join us Sunday, August 2nd from 3–6 PM as Velma Martinez brings her heartfelt vocals to the taproom, sharing a mix of original songs and covers you know and love. Velma began playing and writing songs at just 13 and started performing at 17—and we’re excited to have her bringing her talent back to Flytrap!

And because good music pairs best with good food, Kimchi Taco will be rolling through from 3–6 PM serving up their delicious Korean-Mexican fusion.

The drinks will be flowing from 1–8 PM, so grab your crew, snag a seat, and make it a Sunday Funday at your neighborhood brewery.

Host Jay Killman is a professional musician performing with a wide array of acts including jazz ensembles, singer songwriters, hip hop groups, and fusion bands. Cellist Nicholas Canellakis and pianist-composer Michael Stephen Brown, who “play with their antennae tuned to each other” (The Washington Post), are both longtime artists with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. They have performed together virtually all over the world, bringing their affectionate, brutally honest, and infectious rapport to the stage while presenting programs celebrating the standard literature, little-known gems, and original works and arrangements.
