USO Show and Dance
Honoring all who have served!

The Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center will be THE place to celebrate Veterans Day 2026 with a 1940s style USO Show & Dance to honor Southeast North Carolina veterans. The one night only event will be Friday, November 6, 2026.
This very special evening is presented by Thalian Association Community Theatre and The Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center to remember the men and women who served our country. Concessions including wine and beer will be available. All proceeds benefit the Historic USO Building Preservation Fund.
Relive the sounds of the 1940s, hit songs, famous performers, and unforgettable dances with an original USO Show!

The fun starts at 7:00 pm with a free swing dance lesson from Cape Fear Swing Dance Society. The USO Show will begin at 7:30 pm but dancing will continue nonstop until 10:00 pm.

Join Chamber Music Wilmington for a performance of excellence and grace with The Erinys Quartet. They were founded in 2018 at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki has artistic roots in Estonia, Lithuania, Greece, Finland, and the U.S. They quickly gained recognition, winning First Prize at the 2025 Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition and the Audience Prize at the Bad Tölz Competition. Currently, they serve as the graduate string quartet-in-residence at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.

The Erinys Quartet holds a diploma in string quartet from the Curtis Institute of Music, where they studied with the Dover Quartet, and they completed a diploma in chamber music at Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, Spain, under the guidance of Professor Günter Pichler of the Alban Berg Quartet.

The Quartet consists of musicians: Elizabeth Stewart on Violin, Joosep Reimaa on Violin, Marija Räisänen on Viola, Stergios Theodoridis on Cello, and Oskar Espina Ruiz on Clarinet.

For this special performance of the Brahms Clarinet Quintet, the Erinys Quartet will be joined by renowned clarinet soloist and Chamber Music Wilmington's artistic director Oskar Espina Ruiz.

We will be holding the 4th annual Hoggard STAE Craft Fair in a new location this year, at the Ogden Tap Room. We will have over 40 vendors int their outdoor space. We will have things from local honey, to jewelry, to homemade wooden items. All proceeds benefit the Hoggard STAE Program. Please join us 11-4 on November, 21 2026

The Blue & White Bash is an annual fundraising event hosted by Communities In Schools of Cape Fear, bringing together local businesses, community members, and supporters for an evening of celebration and giving back. Proceeds from the event directly support students and families throughout New Hanover and Pender counties by helping provide essential resources, remove barriers to success, and create opportunities for students to thrive. Through community partnerships, fundraising, and shared commitment to local education, the Blue & White Bash helps ensure that every student has the support they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Join us on November 21st as we roast our beautiful Port City in this Searing Comedic Tribute to the City of Wilmington with Raffle Prizes! Let's laugh together lampooning the city we love in this comical homage featuring sketches, stand up, wild characters and music.

Home Sweet Hope is a fundraising breakfast hosted by Family Promise of Lower Cape Fear, bringing together community members, local businesses, and supporters to raise funds for families experiencing housing instability in our area. The morning will include breakfast, guest speakers, and stories of inspiration as the community comes together to mark 30 years of changing lives in the Lower Cape Fear region. Proceeds from the event support Family Promise's mission to provide shelter, meals, case management, and pathways to stable housing for local families in crisis.
