Join us Tuesday, October 20th starting at 5:30 PM for our next "Books & Beers" Pop-Up with Floodplain Books, featuring New York Times bestselling author Wiley Cash and his lovely wife, Mallory! They’ll be stopping by with a perfectly curated list of October reads: Tales of Horror.

Come grab a $4 Full Pour, browse their picks, and chat with Wiley & Mallory about their favorite reads for the darker side of the season.

Cape Fear Smash Burgers & Beyond will be rolling through from 5–8 PM for dinner.

Just in time for Halloween, mystery author Barbara Dullaghan will share her work and talk about how the lovely Hudson River Valley in New York plays an important role in her stories. Barbara is the author of Secrets In the Hollow and Mystery in the Hollow, both part of her "Sleepy Hollow" series. This program is being offered by the New Hanover Friends of the Public Library; Pomegranate Books has graciously offered to host the program.

A monthly Poetry event on Pleasure Island sponsored by the Island Arts Council. A featured poet begins the evening by reading followed by an open mic, which will be read and open to all originally written poems.
