For the first time in years, the Scottish Society of Wilmington is hosting a genuine cèilidh (KAY-lee) — a traditional Scottish social gathering built around live music and participatory dancing. Skyrie, a band from Fife, Scotland, brings authentic cèilidh sound to Wilmington for one afternoon only. No dance experience or partner required — every dance is walked through and called out as it happens.

$15 general admission, free for Scottish Society of Wilmington members. BYOB, and a food truck will be on site. All are welcome — come ready to dance!

Described as a kaleidoscope of tradition and transformation," Sequoia Rose is an award-winning bluegrass, country, and Americana musician known for blending standard roots instrumentation with a touch of psychedelic exploration.

J Candeed is an energetic singer-songwriter based in Raleigh, North Carolina, traveling the country injecting his positive musical spirit into audiences far and wide. J Candeed blends elements of the hill-country blues, traditional bluegrass and psychedelic groove using a mandola, kick and snare drum.

Born and raised in Mississippi, he was not only immersed in the hypnotic grooves of R.L. Burnside and Junior Kimbrough but also in the traditional gospel melodies ringing from the church pews.
