Join the knowledgeable guides from Cape Fear Bird Observatory and their partners for a family friendly fun nature walk! Meeting at the Greenfield Lake boathouse (near the tennis courts) for an informational session on the third Saturday of every month, usually beginning at 9:00 AM followed by a narrated 60 minute stroll around the lake looking at interesting birds, plants, mammals, reptiles, and other fascinating wild things. All are welcome! No registration required. Please bring sunscreen, insect repellent, water and comfortable walking shoes.

The UNC Clef Hangers are the University of North Carolina's oldest all-male a cappella ensemble and one of the university's most cherished musical traditions. Since 1977, they have captivated audiences with rich harmonies, exceptional vocal talent, and a dynamic repertoire of contemporary favorites, timeless classics, and Carolina traditions. The Clef Hangers have performed for sold-out audiences, at the White House for President Barack Obama, and at the memorial service for legendary UNC basketball coach Dean Smith. Join Music on Market for an evening of outstanding a cappella music, infectious energy and the unmistakable spirit of Carolina.

Music on Market welcomes back The Covenant Bells, a handbell ensemble of St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church, Music on Market's host church. Returning to the series, the ensemble will present Spring GatheRing: Let Joy Ring, an engaging program of sacred and secular selections that highlights the beauty, artistry, and versatility of handbells. The Covenant Bells close the season with ringing, laughter, and music you'll be humming all the way home.

Due to the tremendous success of last year’s inaugural event, Wilmington’s VegFest 2019 will span two days. An exciting lineup of speakers and vegan celebrities will be on hand to educate, showcase and inspire with a variety of family-friendly activities that focus on the vegan lifestyle. In addition to demos, speakers and some 50 vendors, attendees can look forward to food trucks, craft beer and live music. Education Day is set for Saturday, March 30th from 10 am until 5 pm at the venue Events! On Front which is located at 130 N. Front Street. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn all about the benefits and how-tos of a plant-based lifestyle. The festivities continue on Sunday March 31st at the Coastline Convention Center where vendors and demos will further showcase all things vegan. In case you missed it, 2019 was declared the “Year of the Vegan” by several major news outlets. Forbes predicts that 2019 will be the year that more people embrace a plant-based lifestyle and The Economist says that veganism will be this year’s most popular topic. Here’s your chance to discover what all the buzz is about! Tickets for the 2-day festival are $10. Kids under the age of 18 get in for free with a paying adult.
