Harbison, a fashion designers’ showcase and fashion show, a business expo, and an exclusive Meet and Greet for registered attendees and invited guests. CEO/Founder & Creative Designer Charles E. Burn at the Barrel is back for round two.
Liftin with Kristin (LWK) and Leaf & Barrel are teaming up on Saturday, September 27 at 9:30 a.m. for a one-of-a-kind outdoor workout in the Leaf & Barrel courtyard in Hampstead, NC.
This 45-minute full-body strength workout will feature kettlebells, dumbbells, resistance bands, and kegs used as equipment. All fitness levels are welcome, and parking is available on site.

NC Project LEAD's Black-Tie White Lotus Leadership Awards Gala on Saturday, September 27, 5 to 9 p.m., Wilmington Convention Center, 10 Convention Center Drive, Wilmington, NC, includes recognition of emerging and lifetime leader honorees, the awards dinner with the featured evening speaker Maurice “Mo” Green, North Carolina Superintendent of Public Instruction. Green, an undergraduate and law school graduate of Duke University, has served in his current position since January 1, 2025. Prior to that he served as superintendent of Guilford County Schools and as executive director of Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation. A concert by Shana Tucker and the Grammy and Emmy nominated jazz artist John Brown and the Carolina Big Band will follow the awards. Join Wilmington Water Tours as we cruise up the Northeast Cape Fear River to the upper reaches of the black water system of this storied river. Captain Doug Springer will share his extensive knowledge of the history of the area while you take in the flora and fauna along the river banks. We will cruise through the Castle Hayne Aquifer and by the bluffs of the Rose Hill Plantation. Visit our bar for a freshly brewed cup of coffee or the best Bloody Mary on the river.
