The Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center will be THE place to celebrate Veterans Day 2024 with a 1940s style USO Show & Dance to honor Southeast North Carolina veterans. The one night only event will be Friday, November 7, 2025. Tickets are $20, on sale at wilmingtoncommunityarts.org or 910-341-7860.
This very special evening is presented by AARP, Southeast North Carolina Veterans Day Parade Committee, and Thalian Association Community Theatre to remember the men and women who served our country. Concessions including wine and beer will be available. All proceeds benefit the Historic USO Building Preservation Fund.
Relive the sounds of the 1940s, hit songs, famous performers, and unforgettable dances with an original USO Show!
The fun starts at 7:00 pm with a free swing dance lesson from Cape Fear Swing Dance Society. The USO Show will begin at 7:30 pm but dancing will continue nonstop until 10:00 pm. The USO Show will feature songs from the most famous vocalists of the 1940s with a special tribute to The Andrews Sisters, known as The Sweethearts of the Armed Forces Radio Service.

Smart Start Family Festival – Saturday, November 8
Bring the little ones (ages 0–8) for a FREE day of fun at the 11th Annual Smart Start Family Festival on Saturday, November 8, from 10 AM to 2 PM at Long Leaf Park. Families will enjoy hands-on activities, live performances by the Broccoli Brothers Circus and Scooter the Story Yeller, raffle prizes, and more! Discover local resources and enjoy quality time together in a festive, family-friendly setting.

Thursday morning music club meets at 10:30 on the second Thursday Oct. - May. Our upcoming meeting will feature Beverly Andrews and the Classical Carolina trio in the lovely chapel at first Presbyterian Church. Reception will follow.

A weekly gathering of jugglers, hoopers, flow artists, and other object manipulators, including magic, sideshow and other obscure performing arts. There's no formal show, but curious onlookers may see some things flying.

A forum for Jugglers & Circus artists to share tricks, try out new moves, or simply kick back, talk shop, and meet other likeminded artists. If you don't have any circus skills, don't worry. You are still always welcome to come by. ( And maybe even break out that old TopHat for kicks.)

Join Wilmington's finest comedy collective for a night of spontaneous comedy, theatre, games and who-knows-what else! Waterline Brewing Co. graciously opens their stage to new and sometimes experimental improvised comedy!
Come early at 7:30 for an open improv jam, where you can get up onstage and show your stuff with our performers.
