Start your new year with intention. Join us for a 5-week, all-levels yoga series held inside Cameron Art Museum’s galleries—an immersive experience where movement and art come together. Surrounded by the art on view, you’ll deepen your practice while connecting with a welcoming community of art and yoga-lovers.
Sessions will be held Saturday mornings from 9-10 AM. Series runs from January 17-February 14. Each session is designed to ground your body, calm your mind, and inspire your weekend.
Space is limited to 20 participants to maintain a peaceful, intimate setting. Early registration is recommended.Series investment: $90 | CAM Members: $80

Trivia Night is back in the mix for Monday Funday with Deb, and we’re kicking off February with a theme that says it all: “Love is… complicated.”
Since it’s the start of the month of love, the rounds are going full heart-eyes and heartbreak—think famous couples and breakups, misunderstood love songs , and the weird science behind attraction.
New for 2026: Trivia now comes with long-game bragging rights. Deb will be tracking team points throughout the year, and every quarter the top-scoring team will win a $50 Flytrap gift card. Trivia happens every other week, so the more you play, the more points you earn!
Food Truck: Wheelz Pizza | 5-8 pm
Cape Fear Fencing Association 6 week beginning fencing class starts February 2nd at 6:30 pm in the basement of the Tileston gym, 5th and Ann Streets. Class will meet for approximately 1 hour on Mondays and Wednesdays. Students should wear loose fitting clothing and sneakers. Appropriate for ages 8 - 80. Cost is $60 plus a $34 membership to USA Fencing (purchased on usafencing.org) good until July 31, 2026. Taught by Internationally accredited instructor.

The Cape Fear Fencing Association will be hosting the North Carolina High School Fencing League State Championships at The Tileston Gym, South 5th Avenue and Ann Street, starting at 10 am on February 7, 2026. The events to be contested are Men’s Foil team, Women’s Foil team, and Coed Epee team. The event is free and open to spectators. For more information contact gregoryspahr@yahoo.com.

Come celebrate love and local history with the "Outlander in the Cape Fear" walking tour on February 13, May 8, August 7 and November 13!
The walking tour will invite guests to walk in the footsteps of Claire and Jamie Fraser from the global phenomenon book and Starz TV series, "Outlander." Using the North Carolina history that is laced into the romance series, guests will be able to learn about the Colonial Wilmington that real Scottish Highlanders like Claire and Jamie found when they arrived in America in the 1770s.
The walking tour will depart from the Burgwin-Wright House (224 Market Street) at 9 a.m. and run 90 minutes, stopping at about a dozen places downtown. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water to drink.

Meet us at Eagle’s Dare, grab a drink, and join Tiffany Lindstrom from Corning for a demonstration and discussion of how optical fiber is manufactured. The presentation utilizes a traveling ‘mini’ manufacturing line which demonstrates the process steps required to make world class optical fiber–from the creation of the glass through creation of the fiber with edible surrogates, cotton candy and lollipops. And yes, you will get to sample the final cotton candy product!
About Our Presenter:Tiffany Lindstrom, Senior Product Engineer at Corning Inc., brings over 16 years of expertise in Optical Fiber Communications, driving innovation in product and process development while introducing cutting-edge technologies. She holds advanced degrees in Materials Science and Engineering, including a Ph.D. from Clemson University, and has contributed to projects at NASA and Savannah River National Laboratory. With co-authored patents, awards for manufacturing excellence, and a passion for STEM education, Tiffany actively promotes engineering and science as Vice Chair of STEM SENC.
