Board of Education members unanimously approved the settlement, which attorneys for the plaintiffs say was for $640,000. The agreement covers three additional victims of Michael Earl Kelly, a former New Hanover County Schools employee who pleaded guilty to dozens of counts of child abuse in 2019.
