She graduated from Boston University with a BS in Journalism and double minors in Classical Civilizations and Philosophy. Chasing stories has been a passion of hers since she was little, channeling itself through her art and writing. Camille’s journey in audio is never ending and she’s served as a podcast producer on multiple shows. When she’s not working she enjoys chatting and gaming with friends, reading, and creating digital art.

Thursday started the beginning of hurricane season. New Hanover County’s Emergency Management shared programs and advice for vulnerable populations in the county as well as new transplants dealing with hurricanes for the first time.

Ahead of his planned veto of an abortion bill tomorrow, Governor Roy Cooper held a roundtable panel discussion with experts in New Hanover County. His aim: to educate constituents, with the hope that they pressure local Republican representatives to vote against the veto override. Cooper only needs to flip one vote — the GOP has a veto-proof majority, but only if all members vote in lockstep.

The Rock Hill community is getting safe drinking water through a joint effort by New Hanover County and CFPUA. If not for the community’s advocacy work, the problem may have gone unaddressed.
