Join us at the Cameron Art Museum on Thursday, August 14th, from 10-11 a.m. for Mary's Art Explorers. This week, we will be reading "From My Window" by Otavio Junior and Vanina Starkoff. After, participants will enjoy a craft activity related to the reading. Art Explorers is geared towards infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, but big brothers and sisters are welcome to join and create art with us.
During the summer months of June, July, and August, CAM is happy to announce that all Mary’s Art Explorers events will be free thanks to a generous grant from the International Paper Company. Space is limited to 50 participants for each event, so register now to secure your spot!

This first-ever Carolina Art Show - Create your Future invites artists from across the region to showcase their creative talents, engage with art enthusiasts, collectors, and the broader community. The exhibition will highlight diverse artistic disciplines, including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, mixed media, and more.Carolina Art Show - Create your Future serves as an inspiring call for artists and attendees alike to explore new possibilities, envision brighter horizons, and connect through the universal language of art. We will curate a unique selection of artworks, ensuring a vibrant and exceptional experience for all visitors.Bradley Carter, remarked, "We're thrilled to provide a platform for emerging and established artists to share their visions and inspire the community. Carolina Art Show represents a significant opportunity for artists to gain visibility and recognition, fostering an inclusive and dynamic arts environment."The event will be free and open to the public August 16, 17, with an exclusive Opening Reception on Friday, August 15th, providing attendees the first opportunity to view and purchase featured artworks. The evening will feature live Music by Sai Collins, catering by Castle Street Kitchen, complementary wine for a $15 ticket. 100% of the ticket sales will go to "Kids Making It". Station No2 will also be operating a full-service bar all three day of the event. The show will continue through Sunday with daily hours of 10-4 pm and artist meet-and-greets aimed at enriching the community's engagement with the arts.
