Historic Downtown Wilmington Marketplace is a city sponsored artisan outdoor market, in our 9th year. Every Sunday from April through October, local artists set up and display their creations on Front Street between Market and Dock streets, from 10-3pm. You can find jewelry, glass, fiber, clay, paintings and wall hangings.

Beckwith Recital Series presents the Cape Fear Brass Quintet
This recital is A Jazzy Journey in Brass featuring an evolution of musical genres from Spirituals to Dixieland, Jazz, and Broadway. Program selections include transcriptions and original composition for brass quintet.
The Cape Fear Brass Quintet consists of some of the region’s leading brass musicians. They perform throughout the Cape Fear region for arts organizations, schools, churches, and other venues. Formed in 2005, the group personnel include professional musicians representing the Long Bay, Wilmington City Ballet, and Wilmington Symphony Orchestras, the UNC-Wilmington music faculty, the Wilmington Virtuosi Brass, and the Wilmington Symphonic Winds. Catering to local and regional venues, the group offers a wide variety of musical styles, from Baroque, Classical, and Romantic to contemporary and jazz.

The Ukulele Strummers of the Cape Fear meet the 4th Tuesday of every month at the NHC Arboretum Education Center on Oleander Dr. in Wilmington from 6:30p until 8:30p.
We want to spread the love that we have for the Ukulele to as many people as we can. We welcome all ages, all abilities, and all people!
We publish song charts on our website so you can download them and practice before the strum.
So, if your a seasoned Uke player or just beginning, please join us for a few hours of fun, strumming, and singing!
