Big Dawg Theatre Company Announces White Rabbit Red Rabbit at Thalian Hall
Wilmington, NC — Big Dawg Theatre Company will present the daring and unconventional play White Rabbit Red Rabbit at Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts in the Ruth and Bucky Stein Theater. Performances run February 12–15 and February 19–22, with evening performances at 7:30 PM and Sunday matinees at 3:00 PM.Written by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour, White Rabbit Red Rabbit is a theatrical experiment unlike any other. Each night, a different actor takes the stage having never read the script before. There are no rehearsals, no director, and no advance preparation. The performer receives the script live, onstage, discovering the play at the same moment as the audience.Big Dawg Theatre Company has assembled a diverse and accomplished cast for this production. Appearing over the course of the run (in no particular order) are Chad Hsu, Anthony Lawson, Randy Davis, Steve Vernon, Heather Setzler, Kaleb Edley, Jamey Stone, Morganna Bridgers, and Cathy Street, with Erin Sullivan-Wertz serving as an alternate performer should the need arise. In keeping with the spirit of the play, no announcement will be made in advance as to which actor performs on which night. Each performance is a singular, one-night-only event shaped by chance, audience participation, and the shared trust between performer and audience. Both playful and provocative, White Rabbit Red Rabbit explores ideas of authority, choice, responsibility, and participation, while challenging traditional theatrical conventions. The play has been performed worldwide and continues to resonate for its immediacy and unpredictability.Tickets are available through Thalian Hall:https://www.thalianhall.org/bdp-rabbit-26A discounted two-show pass is also available at BigDawgProductions.org.Media Contact:Steve Vernon(910) 612 2239svernonadbigdawg@gmail.comArtistic Director-Big Dawg Theatre Company
