We are thrilled to welcome you to the Ronald Sachs International Music Competition 2021, our 6th edition, in Wilmington NC! After preliminary rounds, our judges have selected 10 Junior Division Finalists and 10 Senior Division Finalists, an incredibly talented group of well accomplished young musicians from all over the continent. The rest of our team is featuring five judges and two accompanists, among the best musicians in the whole world! They are major prize winners in the Cleveland, Bartok-Kabalevsky, Menuhin, Concert-Artist Guild, National Bartók Piano Competition; and they have collectively played with so many major orchestras all over the planet. The weekend of the competition will be filled with events; masterclasses, final live rounds and evening concerts. All our events are free and open to public, as well live streamed via our competition’s YouTube channel. Schedule: The Competition LIVE rounds will be held at Cultural Arts Building at our beautiful Beckwith Hall over the weekend in October, 23rd and 24th (Saturday and Sunday)(we will follow covid protocols UNCW requires-for now only masks for visitors) This is the exact schedule of the events: Saturday: Junior Division (age 13-16) Competition starts at 11am in alphabetical order. The competition is free to public. Saturday evening we will have judges concert at 7:30. Our chair judges are Prof Marina Lomazov (Eastman)and Prof Hye-Jin Kim (ECU) We will announce the winners of the Junior Division at the concert. All events will be streamed live via our YouTube channel. Sunday: senior Division (age 17-22) Competition starts at 11am in alphabetical order. Open to public. Sunday evening we have the concert featuring past winners Jason Russo (clarinet; winner of 2019 and Dailin Zhang, piano; winner of 2020) The judges will announce the winners of Senior Division after the concert.
