Jul 09 Wednesday
Starting May 15th the Wednesday market moves from the top lawn to the lower grounds with room to spread out and enjoy the shade of the Ancient Oaks of Poplar Grove. Come meet your butcher, your baker, your artisan maker, shop small and local and show your support for your neighbors! While you're visiting the market you'll be a short hop to the new Shops at Poplar Grove, home to Grumpy Grandpa's Coffee, A Sink Full of Flowers and the new PG Mercantile. Plan a whole morning to peruse the grounds at no charge and explore this 300 year old historic, 13 acre former peanut plantation. Get your history on by taking a guided Manor House tour ($15 per person for guided tours). Queen Esther's Teas will be moving into the lower floor of the manor so make sure you stop in for a cup! Due to overwhelming development on all sides The Stables (home of the PG rescue animals) will remain closed to the public until further notice as we work to ensure the safety and happiness of our four legged, furry and feathered friends.

This creep-out film needs to be experienced on the big screen... because the producers have promised it'll never be released online.
A quarter-century has passed since The Blair Witch Project fooled us into a trend of "fake found footage" movies, but what if true terror could be conjured into existence? Blending fiction and indisputable fact from nearly 20 years of archival video, It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This documents a married couple who have bought an abandoned Missouri duplex to film a low-budget horror flick. After random strangers begin appearing outside, staring at the old building in an unsettling trance, the two are delighted to find themselves in a real-life scary story.
