New Hanover NAACP will hold its 15th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast Saturday, January 15, 9 - 11 am in the Union Station of Cape Fear Community College, 502 North Front Street, Wilmington. The theme is "The Power of the Dream". Featured speaker is Reverent Dr. Terry Henry, pastor of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, the largest African American church in Wilmington. Deborah Dicks Maxwell, just elected as the first female President of the State of North Carolina's Branch of the National NAACP, will be honored for her 10+ years as President of New Hanover NAACP. Tickets are $30 with table sponsorships and ads of various sizes available. You can also participate online without breakfast this year. Proceeds will benefit New Hanover NAACP's youth programs.
