CoastLine: Political Junkie Ken Rudin on who takes North Carolina, redefining the Republican Party

Ken Rudin is the host of The Political Junkie, a weekly political newsmagazine with analysis, jokes (bad ones), trivia questions, and Scuttlebutton puzzles. ,

It’s less than two weeks before North Carolina’s first March primary -- after years of voters going to the polls in May.  What will this mean for the Tar Heel state’s role in this presidential nominating process?  Historic wrinkles this year are part of the landscape, including a federal court’s ruling about illegal racial gerrymandering in North Carolina and the first election in which voters must present a state-sanctioned ID.  What will that mean for turnout this year?  And are racist views – that some argue were settled in the 1960s – gaining traction on the national stage?

Guest:

Ken Rudin, Host of The Political Junkie, airing on WHQR 91.3 FM Fridays at 1 PM and Sundays at 4 PM.
