The Williston Alumni Community Choir presents its Annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 4:00pm at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church located at 4925 New Centre Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403. The annual concert will feature the exceptional voices of our talented alumni with songs of the holiday season as well as soulful gospel and spiritual melodies.
The Williston Alumni Community Choir is under the direction of Marva Robinson, accompanied by Monnie Swepson and Gospel Music Director, Cornelius Robinson. The choir recently released their first CD entitled, A Musical Legacy of Love dedicated to the memory of Mrs. B. Constance Weller O’Dell…who was the music teacher and choral director at Williston Senior High School from circa 1951 – 1968. Mrs. O’Dell remained director for 17 years until Williston Senior High School was abruptly closed in 1968.
Tickets for the Christmas concert on Sunday, December 10, 2023 are $15 and can be purchased at the door, from any Williston Alumni Community Choir member or at Eventbrite.com. The choir’s CD is available for purchase now and at the concert.
