Meet us at Eagle’s Dare, grab a drink, and join Tiffany Lindstrom from Corning for a demonstration and discussion of how optical fiber is manufactured. The presentation utilizes a traveling ‘mini’ manufacturing line which demonstrates the process steps required to make world class optical fiber–from the creation of the glass through creation of the fiber with edible surrogates, cotton candy and lollipops. And yes, you will get to sample the final cotton candy product!
