And the music plays on…a recital dedicated to musical pearls by Jewish composers of the 20th century
Hannie Ricardo, mezzo-soprano. and Barry David Salwen, piano, perform music of composers who perished in the Holocaust. The recital includes famous songs such as “Somebody Loves Me” by Gershwin, and songs almost lost and forgotten – from nostalgic Yiddish “Mame Loshn” (songs of the Mother Tongue) to classic songs in Hebrew such as “Jerusalem of Gold.” Please note that wearing masks or face coverings is required in the UNCW Cultural Arts Building.
