Thalian Association presents the premiere production of a relatively new rock opera (first staged in 2010), Green Day's American Idiot.
The musical is taken from the Green Day album of the same name, centering on three young men navigating escape from the suburbs in post-9/11 America. Final performances are Saturday, April 16th at 7:30 and Sunday, April 17th at 3:00 at Thalian Hall.

David Loudermilk (co-directing the show with Anthony Lawson) and Music Director Katie Deese joined us in the studio to talk about the sound and story of this show, featuring a live band and a string trio. Listen above.
