The world-class Army Ground Forces Band is coming to Wilmington for a one-night performance at CFCC's Arts & Humanities Center. Wilmington is one of 4 North Carolina locations enjoying this treat. This holiday concert is on Friday, December 4 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are free.
Captain Dae Kim, the Commander & Conductor of the band, was kind enough to visit us at WHQR. Santa Claus is making a trip all the way from the North Pole to see the concert and meet the audience. One of WHQR's hosts, Gina Gambony, will read the classic 'Twas the Night Before Christmas alongside the musicians. The performance features 54 musicians playing holiday music, including a sing-a-along or two. The Concert Band, Jazz Guardians, and Freedom's Groove are all coming. Captain Kim said there will be some twists, so expect the unexpected!
Reserve free tickets (up to 4 per person) online or by calling the Box Office at 910-362-7999.
Listen to Captain Dae Kim talk about the concert and share his insight about the role of military bands.
