Bethany Leighton, the Resource Development Director with Communities in Schools, visited our studio to tell us about the Stuff the Bus campaign. School supplies are being collected for students in all grade levels, so items ranging from crayons to calculators to composition books are needed. These supplies are funneled through social workers at area schools for distribution to students in need.
This weekend, August 7-9, collection points will be set up at the Monkey Junction Walmart, Office Depot on Oleander Drive, the MayfaireHarris Teeter, and in the general Mayfaire shopping plaza. Find out more here.
