Danijela Žeželj-Gualdi joined us to talk about the Community Music Academy (CMA) at UNCW. She is the new artistic director of the Academy, which is a community outreach program of the UNCW Music Department.
The CMA currently offers private instruction in piano, voice, guitar and strings. Opportunities to join group classes, ensembles, and music theory lessons are also available. Instruction is available to all ages and abilities; for instance, there is a String class called "Mommy and Me" for children 18 months-4 years old, while Danijela is also giving a private lesson to a student in her 70's who is just learning to play the violin.
One of Danijela's students, Brianna Rogers, joined us for the interview. Listen to the audio to hear her play Mozart's Violin Concerto #5.
