November’s Bottega Live features two exciting bands from the Cape Fear Region. The Yard Doggs, and the Blarney Brogues. WHQR's Bottega Live airs each month in conjunction with Wilmington’s Fourth Friday Gallery Walk.
The Yard Doggs are very well known in the local music scene in Wilmington. The band is Jeremy Mathews on guitar and vocals, Banjo Burkie on banjo, and bringing the smooth bass line is Richard Groves.
You can catch them at a lot of the music venues in town.

The Blarney Brogues are Craig Thompson, Matt Malloy, Zach Hanner, and last but certainly not least the incredibly talented Rachel Tisdale. They play an exciting mix of Irish Trad, Celtic, Irish Punk, and originals. This Irish combo brings the sounds of the Emerald Isle to the Port City. Originals and classics from ILM's fantastic Irish group.

Bottega Live is an hour-long local music program airing every Fourth Friday from 8 to 9 pm on WHQR 91.3.
The program features local musicians, recorded live at the Bottega Art and Wine Bar, 723 N. 4th Street in Wilmington.
