Getting his breakout performance at the age of 13, Galen Hunsucker has been a full time professional musician for over 40 years. His diverse gigging has included bars & pubs, 5 star resorts, and restaurants of every stripe. The largest concert venues he has ever played include the Houston Astrodome and The Grand Ole Opry. As a teacher, he has taught privately and he's been a clinician for Guild guitars. Galen studied at California's Southwest Guitar Conservatory where, at 17, he was their youngest graduate and mentored under the legendary guitarist and Jazz great, Herb Ellis. Today, Galen is one of the Cape Fear region's most prolific guitar instructors. Along with his wife, award-winning singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lisa Rankin, Galen has toured all across the U.S. and the United Kingdom. Together they performed for several years as the 'in house' duo, known as Take Two, for The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, opening for touring on & off-Broadway shows and for acts as diverse as Joe Cocker, Victor Borge, and many others.

(This STNL! event will feature Galen Hunsucker performing solo and accompanied by Lisa Rankin and The Hot Club of Wilmington)
