Homemade Holiday Shorts 2019: The Broadcast

Homemade Holiday Shorts returned to the MC Erny Gallery for its 24th Anniversary Year with two classic stories:  The Greatest Gift by Philip Van Doren Stern and The Gift of the Magi by William Sydney Porter, also known as O'Henry.  Da Howlies, a local surf band, provided the holiday music.

For one evening each year in December, friends of WHQR gather in our MC Erny Gallery and around their radios at home to listen to holiday stories read live by entertaining guests.

The event is broadcast live on WHQR 91.3fm at 6pm. It will be rebroadcast Friday, December 13th at 7 pm.

Host and Emcee: Rob Zapple, New Hanover County Commissioner

Storytellers: Rachel Lewis Hilburn and Eleanor Stafford

Special Musical Guests: Da Howlies
