The Partnership Advisory Group – the team exploring options for the future of New Hanover Regional Medical Center – held its final public meeting of 2019 on December 19. The group is making progress, but still months away from any formal recommendation.
At last night’s semi-monthly meeting, the group finished editing goals and objectives for the requests for proposal that will eventually go to interested parties. However, it is still not final, as team members want to tweak the questions that potential buyers have to answer, such as how they would prepare for natural disasters.
Barbara Biehner is Co-Chair of the Advisory Group.
“And they're asking the prospective bidders, how have you done this in the past, or have you had strategic relationships in this or have you developed ambulatory care? How have you developed specialty care? Those types of pieces that tie it together into the goals of the hospital.”
The PAG also selected a financial advisor who will work with the group: Ponder & Company of Brentwood, TN.
The Advisory Group resumes it work on Thursday, January 9 at Government Center. Vince Winkel, WHQR News
