Ralph Balser, 73, of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away on May 8, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Ralph was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 23, 1942.
Ralph enjoyed volunteering during his retirement, especially with Habitat for Humanity, WARM, New Hanover County Senior Center, and pledge week at WHQR radio station. Ralph enjoyed backgammon, puzzles and conversation.
Ralph has been volunteering with the WHQR Pledge Drives for many years. It was always wonderful to have Ralph at the station, especially during pledge drive down time when he would teach the staff and other volunteers how to do puzzles.
