Prologue: "The Idea of Love" by Patti Callahan Henry

Please join Ben Steelman of the StarNews on Monday, July 6 at 7 PM in the MC Erny Gallery for a discussion with New York Times bestselling author Patti Callahan Henry about her new novel "The Idea of Love."

Monday, July 6 at 7 PM

MC Erny Gallery, 254 N. Front Street, 3rd Floor

About the Author: Originally from Philadelphia, Patti Callahan Henry moved down South with her family when she was 12 years old. Convinced that becoming a novelist was "unrealistic," Henry pursued a career in nursing, eventually earning her Master's in Child Healthcare at Georgia State. After taking a break from nursing to raise her children, Henry decided to write down the stories that she had always known were inside of her. Writing early in the morning before her kids woke up, writing remained a hobby instead of a career, until her six-year-old daughter announced that she wanted to be a "writer of books." Her own daughter's cognizance of this wish, helped light the flame in Henry. She began taking writing classes at Emory University and attending writer's conferences on the weekends. In 2004, Henry released the first of her ten novels Losing the Moon. For more information about Henry please click here
