Las Artistas are returning to Gallery Verrazzano at theArtWorks™! The passion and creativity is the same the group is a little different. The group this year has a unique makeup including those returning from 2023. Arriving May 13-May 19th are: Peggy Vineyard, Bre Crowell, Carol Measom, Charlotte Foust, Katherine Wolf Webb, Lambeth, Marshall, Marthann Masterson, Nell Tilton, Rhenda Saporito, Robin Crutcher, Sandy Palasti, and Vicki Marsango. They will be painting in Gallery Verrazzano from May 13th to 19th.
The work will be avalible for viewing during theArtWorks open hours: Thursday-Saturday from 11am-5pm and Sunday from 12pm-5pm
Steve Kelly and Greg Stanley create worlds of shape and color in their geometric inspired respective works. Kelly's ceramics grab the viewer with elegant lines, circles, and pops of color. Stanley's paintings lean into a similar dance of tension created with black line, stark color, and imaginative settings.
'Chromatic Configurations' opens April 26 from 6pm-9pm as part of Fourth Friday from the Arts Council of NHC/Wilmington. If you can’t make it that night, this show will be up through May 18, 2024!
Guests will meet at Pour Taproom (201 N. Front St.) and then depart with their treasure map on a walking team scavenger hunt through historic downtown Wilmington where you will use your mind and feet to follow clues, solve puzzles, and crack codes to find and unlock the treasure chest!
The hunt involves walking up to 2 miles in total and will take place rain or shine, so long as the weather does not become dangerous. The hunt typically takes about 60 minutes to complete.
Children under 10 years old are welcome to participate for free with the purchase of an Adult ticket.

Wilmington native, Paul Bradley Atkinson, returns to his hometown for a special acoustic show with his band. Historic Downtown Wilmington Marketplace is a city sponsored artisan outdoor market, in our 9th year. Every Sunday from April through October, local artists set up and display their creations on Front Street between Market and Dock streets, from 10-3pm. You can find jewelry, glass, fiber, clay, paintings and wall hangings.
