The Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens is thrilled to launch its annual diaper drive to benefit the Diaper Bank of North Carolina.

During the month of March, local residents are encouraged to bring donations of diapers, packaged baby wipes, adult incontinence products, formula and other hygiene items to the Burgwin-Wright House. Although they remain one of the most basic and essential needs for children and their families, diapers and wipes still aren’t affordable for all those who need them. Through donations coordinated by its Lower Cape Fear branch, the Diaper Bank of North Carolina supports families that might otherwise have to choose between care for their children and food on the table. This year’s high-priority needs are infant diapers (sizes 4, 5, 6 and 7), toddler pull ups (sizes 3T/4T and 4T/5T), tampons, adult pullups (diaper-style with tabs are not accepted) and bed pads.

The Diaper Drive accepts opened and unopened packs of diapers and pull-ups for children and adults. Baby wipes, pantyliners, diaper cream and formula are also accepted, but must be brand new and unopened. Tab or diaper-style adult products are not accepted at this time. Donations can be dropped off March 1-31 in the Burgwin-Wright House visitor center Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. It is located at 224 Market Street, at the corner of Third and Market Street in downtown Wilmington.

The Burgwin-Wright House's annual White Elephant on April 4th will have items for sale ranging from houseware, books, vintage linens, antique furniture and more! There's sure to be something for everyone!
