Silver Pride Cinema Festival: "Lavender Men"
Taffeta, a contemporary queer person of color, summons Abraham Lincoln to perform an elaborate historical fantasia within her own head — only to learn that she can’t hide from her own present-day demons in the shadows of someone else’s past.
The first Silver Pride Cinema Festival in Wilmington, NC, takes place on May 10, 2025, at Jengo's Playhouse, featuring four screenings, including three feature films and a shorts block. Hosted by Silver Pride Circle of the Cape Fear, the event aligns with the group's mission to foster community and education for LGBTQ+ individuals over 50.
