SARUS FEST “BUGLES: CLOSING PARTY & BREATHING ARCHIVE AUCTION”
Bugles are the calls of cranes. A wrap up the SARUS Festival with an evening of
celebration, connection, and reflection. Join us for tacos, drinks, dancing, and the
final presentation of The Breathing Archive—a living collection of artwork,
performances, and videos created by artists and audiences throughout the
festival.
This dynamic archive documents the spirit and impact of SARUS in
real-time, offering a unique glimpse into the creative exchanges that unfolded
across the week.

8th SARUS Festival for Site-specific & Experimental Art: The Beloved Local
Festival returns to Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach, August 8th-10th,
2025.
A celebrated platform for artistic presentation and exchange, SARUS is Held at multiple venues across Wilmington NC, Sarus is 3 days of multisensory performances, workshops, a symposium, exhibits, and social events, held at 5 different venues;
Featuring local, national, and international artists, showcasing a range of
disciplines, including visual art, dance, sculpture, performance art, photography, concert music, and film.

Organized by the Alban Elved Dance Company, a non-profit 501(c)(3)* organization, the festival has become a vital part of North Carolina’s cultural landscape, offering a space for diverse artistic expression.
In its 8th year, SARUS continues to foster creativity, connection,
and collaboration by presenting cutting-edge art that engages with the environment and
contemporary concerns.

● The Studio Theater at Cape Fear Community College in the Wilson Center (August 8th,
entrance on Hanover Street)
● Jengo's Playhouse on 815 Princess Street (August 9th)
● Hope Recovery Faith Community at 3403 Winston Blvd (August 9th and 10th)
● Beach access #2 on Wrightsville Beach, NC (August 10th) as well as
● Barzarre at 1610 Castle Street (August 10th).
