Library Hip Hop Superstar

Mr. Scooter is a storyteller, rapper and children's librarian from Wilmington, North Carolina. He has released two children's albums as Melvil Dewey - International Library Hip Hop Superstar and is the creator of the Book Wrangler and Rap Battle of the Books. Mr. Scooter is a Library Journal Mover, Shaker Innovator and NACO award winner. His work has been featured in School Library Journal and VOYA Magazine.

UNCW Kenan Auditorium is delighted to share a series of programs for families called SEAHAWK Family Arts Matinees, or SEAHAWK FAM for short. The series is BACK for Summer of 2023 with $5 performances on Thursday mornings, designed as a creative and entertaining respite from the summer heat. These special one-hour performances will run June 29 – July 27, all in UNCW’s Kenan Auditorium.
