This Kids @ CAM Island Wildlife event welcomes families to examine, experience, and celebrate the natural world on the grounds of the Cameron Art Museum. Botanist Jessica Roach will begin with an educational nature walk. Author Virginia Holman will then teach children how to transform these observations into found art and found poetry that celebrates the wilderness around and within each of us. (Children who are not yet able to write are welcome: adults can help transcribe their observations.) 'Elizabeth Bradford: A House of One Room' explores the same themes in her own paintings! Island Wildlife-Cape Fear Region promotes conservation and stewardship of the Lower Cape Fear region through education, outreach, and collaboration.
