Alma Russ calls Mill Spring, NC home when she’s not on the road, sharing her blend of country gold, Appalachian tradition, and Americana soul. A lifelong lover of classic country and old-time music, she picked up fiddle at 12 and never looked back—adding banjo, guitar, and songwriting to her repertoire along the way.

From hometown bars to cross-country travels, Alma’s journey has taken her everywhere—including a stint performing on a passenger train in Bryson City and a trip to Hollywood after earning 3 yeses on American Idol. Her sound is inspired by legends like John Prine, Gillian Welch, Dolly Parton, and more.
