Curtain Call - Wilmington Youth Theater Honors
Curtain Call - Wilmington Youth Theater Honors
Curtain Call is a celebration, not a competition. It’s an evening dedicated to recognizing the creativity, passion, and hard work of young artists who have graced our stages during the 2023-2024 season. The event will spotlight standout performers and productions from schools and local theater companies, providing a well-deserved “curtain call” for these remarkable youth. This event will take place at 6pm on January 11, 2026 at the Wilson Center in partnership with the Arts Council of Wilmington. The day of the event will also feature a special Broadway-led workshop from 1-4pm, free for youth performers submitted to showcase a musical number, and open to all others for a nominal fee. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to perform at 6pm during the evening show, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
Our host for 2026 is Andrew Keenan-Bolger, he is an actor, director, author and filmmaker. He starred as “Jesse Tuck” in Tuck Everlasting on Broadway (Drama League Award nominee). He created the role of “Crutchie” in the Original Broadway Cast of Newsies (Outer Critics Circle nominee) and in the record-breaking Newsies: The Broadway Musical film. Other Broadway: Mary Poppins, Seussical, Beauty and the Beast, A Christmas Carol.
