CAM Community Day

TGIF! Friday is a fun day for a free day in the galleries. Enjoy art activities for all ages, spotlight tours, and local flavors with lunchtime food trucks.

10am-11am: Kids are invited to join Miss Neyra in the courtyard for a special reading and art activity.

11am -1pm: Learn about the works on view with Spotlight tours in the galleries. Drop in for a 30 minute conversation with selected works in each exhibition

11am-2pm Visit the Pancoe Education Center for art activities inspired by our three maverick artists: Helen Frankenthaler, Richard Diebenkorn and Robert Rauschenberg.

11am-2pm Enjoy lunchtime savories from Fusion Fries and sweet treats from Sunset Slush.

5:30pm Spanish Language Tour

Join our CAM Tour Guide, Andi Álvarez, for a guided tour of our exhibitions in Spanish.

College Night@CAM

Calling all college students! We’re throwing a FREE night of art-making, music, snacks, and more to kick off your fall semester.

This event is open to all college students in southeastern North Carolina.

Bring your student ID. Bring your friends.

Inspired by our current exhibition The Game Changers, this event celebrates creativity, connection, and community through art and music.

Make your own abstract artwork with a chance to be featured in a pop-up gallery
Explore the galleries, featuring the exhibition ‘The Game Changers’ which features works by Helen Frankenthaler, Richard Diebenkorn, and Robert Rauschenberg
Dance to a live DJ set from DJ Danny, a recent UNCW alum
Enjoy free food and drinks

The artwork you make has the chance to be featured in a one-night-only pop-up exhibition at Fried Fruit Gallery in the Cargo District on Friday, September 12.

Try your hand at a Diebenkorn-inspired drawing of one of Wilmington's iconic spaces. Images from across the city will be available for reference or collage as you capture your memory of our landscape. Artists Ben Billingsley and Madison Creech will assist with materials and techniques. And remember Frankenthaler's words: “There are no rules…. that is how art is born..”
