The course along Wrightsville Beach Park Loop offers breathtaking coastal views and is family-friendly with a flat terrain. Strollers are welcome! While we love our furry friends, please note that dogs are not permitted on the race course. However, we warmly welcome you to bring your pet to the event, where they can participate in our first-ever pet costume contest. There will be a costume contest for humans as well. Judging will take place prior to the race with prizes awarded at 9:30am.

Year after year, runners, walkers and generous sponsors come together to raise the funds needed to make the dream of owning a home a reality for individuals and families here in our community. When you join us, you're not just racing; you're building hope and changing lives.

About Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity:

Founded in 1987 as an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, Cape Fear Habitat has served more than 385 hard-working families in Pender, Duplin and New Hanover Counties. Habitat families invest 250 to 400 hours in the homeownership program, participating in financial counseling, volunteering at ReStores and taking hands-on home maintenance classes. They also work onsite to build their own homes and the homes of other Habitat families. After completing the 12- to 18-month program, participants pay a low-interest mortgage which goes to fund the homes of other Habitat families. With staff and the involvement of thousands of volunteers, Cape Fear Habitat builds 18-20 homes each year. Begun in response to Hurricane Florence, Cape Fear Habitat now provides critical home repair through its Home Repair Program. Through this program, Cape Fear Habitat helps preserve the value of owner-occupied homes promoting wealth creation for lower income families in New Hanover, Pender, and Duplin counties. The affiliate also manages three ReStore locations in Wilmington that sell new and gently used household goods, furniture and remodeling supplies, generating enough income to offset all administrative costs for the organization.
