CFCC to Host 4th Annual Fall Lecture Series

Wilmington, NC (September 10, 2025) – Cape Fear Community College’s Humanities and Education

Department is proud to announce the 4th Annual Fall Lecture Series, a dynamic lineup of though-
provoking talks and cultural experiences. This year’s series brings together faculty and visiting scholars
to explore stories, art, and culture that shape our community.

• Dr. Julie-Ann Scott-Pollock “Stories of Raising Boys”

Dr. Scott-Pollock is a professor of Communication Studies and Performance Studies at the
University of North Carolina Wilmington. During her presentation she will share powerful
narratives on raising boys, and explore themes of family, communication, and identity.
