Acrylic 101: Fundamentals for the Beginner
This course is a primer for the adult student interested in learning painting fundamentals. We'll use a variety of simple still life subjects to explore color mixing, brush-handling and the frame upon which we build a painting. Acrylic is a rich, versatile and forgiving medium and great for learning traditional painting techniques. Through historical context, demos, handouts and lots of painting exercises, beginner painters will have the foundation to build confidence and reconnect to creative mark-making.
