Wednesday, March 23, 4 pm

The Ruth & Bucky Stein Theatre

A man crippled by the mundanity of his life experiences something out of the ordinary in this winner of many film festival awards, and nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. This beautifully animated film follows an inspirational speaker (David Thewlis) who becomes reinvigorated after meeting a lively woman (Jennifer Jason Leigh) who shakes up his mundane existence. (Rated R, 1 hour 30 mins)

“Charlie Kaufman's animated feature is one of his best films yet, a haunting fable about the illusion of love.”- Rafer Guzman, Newsday

“Need proof that animation can not only equal live-action filmmaking but beat the flesh-and-blood version at its own game? Try Anomalisa, as haunting and hypnotic an R-rated love story for grownups as you'll see anywhere.”- Peter Travers, Rolling Stone
