Wylene McDonald serves on the advisory board of the CARE Project, a Wilmington-based organization that was created to support deaf and hard-of-hearing children and their families. Wylene is a nurse and has 2 grandchildren who are hard-of-hearing. She's been involved with the CARE Project since the beginning, when audiologist Dr. Johnnie Sexton created the organization. Wylene joined us to talk about the CARE Project's mission and the 6th Annual CARE Project Gala; listen above.  The Gala, themed "A Journey to Resilience," is Saturday, 9/24, with the red carpet rolling out at 6:00 pm at Union Station on Front Street.
