Zorá String Quartet has gathered a great list of achievements in its mere 3 years of existence: the Sander Buchman Award; Friends of Music Concerts Prize; Hayden's Ferry Chamber Music Series Prize; Paramount Theatre Prize; Vancouver Recital Prize; Grand Prize & Gold Medal Winner of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition-and more. Zorá Quartet kicks off Chamber Music Wilmington's (CMW) season this Sunday, 9/25 with a 3:00 performance at Beckwith Recital Hall.

Chamber Music Wilmington presents Zora String Quartet. Sunday, 9/25 @ 3:00 pm. Beckwith Recital Hall, UNCW.
The Zorá Quartet will play Mozart's Quartet in D minor, Turina's La Oracion del Torero (The Bullfighter's Prayer), and Debussy's Quartet in F minor.
Coming up for the rest of CMW's season: Kontras Quartet in November, playing music by Dan Visconti, Villa Lobos, Osvaldo Golijov, and Dvorak; Horszowski Piano Trio in February, playing Beethoven, Rebecca Clarke, and Mendelssohn; Jaspar Quartet in April, playing Shubert, Kernis, and Mozart. In addition to the regular season, a special performance with cellist Amit Peled is in January- Hommage a Pablo Casals. Peled will play the same program Casals played 100 years ago-with Casals' cello. Find out more about the musicians and season membership.
