Communique: Big Al Hall Talks About "The Bluegrass Jam" At Satellite On Sundays

Bluegrass Jam at Satellite

The Bluegrass Jam has been going on at Satellite Bar & Lounge for over 6 years. Every Sunday night around 6:00, musicians gather and make music-you never know who'll be there to play, but almost certainly, Big Al Hall will be there leading the group. Anyone can come to play-even you.

Many people come to dance, some to listen, and some just to hang out and possibly get some snacks from The Catch Food Truck

All the ladies wanted to dance with Kelly (left) at the Bluegrass Jam. His lead is phenomenal, even for inexperienced dancers.

I spoke with Big Al Hall about the Jam; listen above. This past Sunday (July 31st), Al was playing banjo, with Brian Humphrey on concertina, David Shucavage on hammer dulcimer, Ken Groce on doghouse bass, Mark O'Neill playing the cajun, and Nancy Sharp & Craig Thompson on fiddle, plus Nancy playing the whistle. Who knows who will show up next Sunday? You'll have to stop by to find out.  The music plays until about 10:00pm.
