During the filming of the blockbuster film Gone with the Wind, another tale worthy of telling went on behind the scenes. Producer David O. Selznick had the script rewritten in less than a week, went way over budget, and created the highest grossing epic movie in history (adjusted for inflation). Playwright Ron Hutchinson wrote the comedy Moonlight and Magnolias about the frenzy that went into the making of Gone with the Wind; Brunswick Little Theatre presents this show in Southport.
Director Eben French Mastin joined us in the studio to talk about the play; listen above. The show is up for one more weekend, this Friday & Saturday 4/22 & 23 at 7:30 and Sunday 4/24 at 3:00. Tickets are available online, at the door, and at the Ricky Evans Gallery in Southport.
