To encourage the proper disposal of unwanted medications, New Hanover Regional Medical Center is partnering with regional healthcare, law enforcement, education and safety organizations to hold a medication disposal event in six counties on Saturday, April 28.
Fifteen locations in New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, Onslow, Columbus and Duplin counties will accept all medications, needles and sharps on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Law enforcement will be on site. Medications can be prescription, over-the-counter, vitamins or herbal.
