Three school buildings in Wilmington were put on lockdown for about an hour this morning. New Hanover County Sheriff’s deputies secured Hoggard High School on Shipyard Boulevard, along with Roland-Grise Middle School and the learning center adjacent to Roland-Grise.
Sergeant Jerry Brewer says the lockdown was in response to a bomb threat at a nearby Liberty Healthcare building on South 41st Street. Once the police checked the area and cleared the threat, the three school buildings were reopened around noon.
